For 20 years, Rooted in Community (RIC) has been gathering youth from all over the country for our summer conference to engage in conversations and actions around food, community and justice.

During our summer gathering we share stories, models, expertise, skills and experiences. We partner with the local community to host a Day of Action, working to build capacity on local issues.

Volunteer run, RIC has continued for 20 years because of our commitment to young people, strong relationships and food system change.

This spring it is our goal to raise $20,000, a thousand dollars for each year that RIC has lived. The money raised will go toward scholarships for youth participation in the summer conference and to help us launch a new regional network model - to better serve the organizations and young people involved in RIC.
