In 2013, RIC hosted its 15th annual youth-powered and food justice-focused summer conference in Los Angeles, CA. Rooted in Community (RIC) is a national network of 100+ organizations that empowers youth from excluded communities to take leadership for food justice. RIC creates space for youth from diverse backgrounds to cultivate leadership, share inspiration, form relationships, and amplify the movement for equity through food, farming, and creativity.

Youth from across the nation gather in Lewiston in 2009 for part of a 5 day conference that focuses on food justice, urban agriculture, and youth empowerment.
