WINTER LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The 2019 Winter Leadership Institute, December 13-15, 2019 at Jones Valley Teaching Farm in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Rooted in Community (RIC) Winter Leadership Institute is an opportunity for adults* involved with food system based youth-development programs to come together to share best practices and help each other grow personally and professionally. The institute is for adults who already have experience doing youth development food justice work.

The format is a mix of facilitated workshops and open share space. The goal of the Winter Leadership Institute is to give adults that work with youth an opportunity to share experiences, get questions answered, and build relationships.

The Winter Leadership Institute will take place December 13th-15th, 2019 in Birmingham, AL.

The Winter Leadership Institute is meant to be small and intimate and we will cap attendance at 75 individuals.

*RIC defines “adult” based on the leadership role that they have – not based on age. This training is specifically for people who lead youth programs for their organization and not for program participants (even if they are 18 or over).
